Nutrition Counseling
Our dietition Jessica-Lauren Newby MA, RDN, LD, CEDRD, IBCLC is nationally registered and licensed in the state of Mississippi. Jessica Lauren has been successfully coaching clients on a journey toward food freedom with a focus on the multi-dimensional aspects of health and wellness for almost a decade. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian who is passionate about healing your relationship with food. If you are feeling overwhelmed by the conflicting information about what you should and should not eat, our services aim to introduce you to clarity and self-regulation. Jessica Lauren empowers her clients to navigate their health journey for a holistic approach to living long-term.

Initial Consult

$195 / 90 min

Spend time one on one discussing your health history, current concerns, health behaviors, lifestyle factors, barriers, pertinent medical information, and your own vision for living well. Your RDN (registered dietitian nutritionist) is an expert in food as medicine and the body as a system that utilizes food for both fuel and pleasure. Your RDN will review your in-depth nutrition analysis with you and help you identify next steps towards health and healing. (60-90 minutes)


$125 / 40-50 Minutes

Spend time in subsequent meetings to assess progress and troubleshoot roadblocks and barriers as they arise. The RDN partners with the client on the individual’s journey. The RDN also works with a PCP, a mental health care professional, and other allied health professionals for holistic approaches to health and recovery over time. Follow-ups range from weekly to quarterly dependent upon the client’s needs. (20-30 minutes)


$160 / 60-90 min

Shop and dine with your dietitian in your favorite store or restaurant. Ask all the questions you have with your food expert right by your side. This is a fun-filled, individualized, hands-on educational opportunity that you simply cannot duplicate elsewhere! The goal of this outing is for the the client to be empowered to procure, prepare, and enjoy food on a regular basis.

Jessica-Lauren Newby
Jessica-Lauren Newby is a master's level Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist with over a decade of experience in the deep South. She received a Bachelor of Human Environmental Sciences degree from the University of Alabama and concurrently completed the Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics; subsequently, she earned a Master of Arts in Health Studies from the University of Alabama where she began her training in eating disorder care and lactation support. She is currently completing her PhD in Nutrition at Auburn University.

During her eight years at Auburn University, she developed and implemented the nutrition services program for students, faculty, and staff and expanded care for eating disorders through a unified, multi-disciplinary team approach with various entities on campus. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is currently training to be a Holy Yoga Instructor
In her practice, Jessica-Lauren specializes in helping clients restore their relationship with food, exercise, and body image. She works from a weight-neutral, harm-reduction, approach to help individuals find their personal version of health and well-being. Jessica-Lauren believes that food is mental, physical, emotional, and even spiritual. She believes that food is medicine to our mind, body, and spirit. She is deeply devoted to the continual acquisition of knowledge and brings that into her daily work with clients as she seeks to understand the individual. Her hope is that when you spend time with her you feel heard and known.
Jessica-Lauren is married to the love of her life; they have two amazing daughters and two crazy, wonderful dogs. She and her husband are intentionally raising their children around a family table that invites curiosity, evokes self-confidence, and helps them build a deeply-rooted belief that food is both fun and functional and meant to be enjoyed! She is deeply rooted in her faith and enjoys teaching and mentoring and serving in those capacities. In her free time, she enjoys family movie nights, traveling, exploring all things food-related (growing it, procuring it, cooking it, and eating it!), and moving playfully while running, hiking, cycling, and practicing yoga.
